PC Tyler McWalter, 30, from Kinver, Staffordshire, was sentenced to eight months in prison after choking Charlie Pottow at around 2.30am while on a night out on September 14, last year. The officer, who was off-duty at the time, last month pleaded guilty to a charge of intentional strangulation at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.
