Bismarck man sentenced to 18 years in prison for giving minor vapes in exchange for sexual favors

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – A judge sentenced a Bismarck man to 18 years in prison for luring a 13-year-old girl for sex in August of last year.

Bismarck officers said the victim told them Michael Leier, who was 18 at the time of the incident, gave her nicotine and THC vapes in exchange for sexual favors.

Investigators said he messaged another minor via Snapchat, offering to give her vapes in exchange for sex.

Leier originally pleaded not guilty in October.
